The tremendous success that Pos Ad enjoys today belies the story of its humble beginnings.
Pos Ad was founded by Raymond Chew in 1986. Aided by his partner Robert Loh, a borrowed capital of RM25,000, a vision of In-store advertising and with a lot of determination, Raymond embarked on his mission to help marketers build brands.
Working 16 hours a day, the two partners set out to create a whole new concept in the advertising industry- point of sale advertising.
Raymond started knocking on doors to convince marketers to invest in Pos Ad’s only product – Sound Ads, an in-house supermarket audio advertising; and Robert hit the road to sign exclusive contracts with supermarkets. By the end of the first month, they had spent their initial capital; but their perseverance and hard work paid off.
Starting with a handful of clients and 104 exclusive supermarket contracts, Pos Ad was on its way to revolutionising the In-store advertising industry and there was no looking back.
Today, Pos Ad has evolved and developed an impressive range of In-store ad mediums and spun-off four other related businesses. Pos Ad’s network of nationwide retail outlets now includes supermarkets, hypermarkets, pharmacies and fast food chains.
